BEHIND THE LENS
​
People tell me my images have a personality all to themselves. I've been shooting since my teenage years when father my gifted me with a Nikon F series (completely) manual camera. Together, we used to develop pictures in black and white in his mini studio.
Since then I have been working to continually improve my craft and bring still and aerial images to life.
​
With the advent of Photoshop, we no longer have to rely on mixing chemicals to get great images in this digital age. Photoshop editing and graphic design continually comes up with new and exciting ways to show images.
​
When not shooting photos or doing graphic design, I enjoy mountain biking, off-roading, music, woodworking and home DYI projects.
Patti and I have been married for 36 years and share the enjoyment of 3 adult aged sons.
​
Josiah - is a college baseball coach, GM and college instructor in Tennessee.
Joshua - just started a career at Intel in Portland, Oregon and is a Licensed Commercial Pilot.
​
Jacob - Washington State and is starting his own business.
​
Since they're "all grown up" we spend our off time parenting a Fox Red Labrador named "Lucy." She's a sweetie.
​
In my young adult years, I was a pastor for a couple decades plus. During that time, I enjoyed being with and meeting people and experiencing their life's journey. From being on pastoral staff at local churches to Los Angeles County Prisons to the mission field in Africa and College professor. I have a deep respect and enjoy many cultures and backgrounds.
​
At the heart of this has always been photography and art design.
​
While I'm analytically minded, I come from a deep family background of artists, musicians and creative geniuses. I would consider myself balanced and gifted in both areas.
